History of Cousiño Macul
Founded in 1856, Cousiño Macul is the only winery amongst those established during the nineteenth century that continues in the hands of the founding family, who controls 100% ownership of the company. We are a company with tradition, character and identity. For years we have been concerned about being leaders in wine production, always bearing in mind our values, our history and the excellence of our wines. “Our mission is to produce world-class wines that are unmistakably Chilean, with character that expresses the unique taste of the Maipo Valley”, Carlos Cousiño, Chairman of Cousiño Macul.
Antiguas Reservas is the emblem wine of the vineyard, with over 80 years in its portfolio. Since its debut in 1927, it has always been a limited selection of the best Cabernet Sauvignon of Cousiño Macul’s vineyards. Along the years, they have maintained its classic style, combining the maturity of the New World, the elegance of the traditional wines and a structure that allows an adequate storage capacity.
