(P) Paul John Bold


Bold was a 2015 addition to the core range. Following their Edited release, Bold is a fully peated single malt from Paul Distilleries (they're aptly named expressions). Peat is brought over to Goa from Islay for Bold, where it is used to dry their 6-row Indian barley.

TASTING NOTES Nose- After the slightest whiff of smoke, a dizzying array of Manuka honey, prickly spice and bourboneque red liquorice takes over. Palate- This melt-in-the-mouth malt has the most profound flavours crashing in like waves. Finish- Peaty, peppered oak.

(P) Paul John Nirvana


PAUL JOHN Nirvana is an unpeated expression, created from Indian six-row barley and matured in charred American oak casks.

TASTING NOTES Colour- Deep copper. Nose- An attractive honeycombed bourbon with luscious fruitcake, with a light whiff of enticing caramel pudding. Taste- A delightful soft honey with a slight salt-edged barley; an excellent mouthfeel with honeycomb sweetness. Finish- Immensely long, and richly flavoured with dissolving honey, barley, and succulent vanilla.

(P) Togouchi Japanese Blended Whisky 8 Years Old


Togouchi 8 Years is a limited release whisky that has been aged and stored for a minimum of 8 years in sherry oak casks, and is a blend of Scottish malts with Canadian grain.

TASTING NOTES Nose- Citrus, peaty, fresh grass, banana, pears, nuts. Taste- Crisp, clean, honey notes, almonds, cocao nibs, buttered popcorn. Finish- Medium. Oak, vanilla finish.

(P) Togouchi Japanese Whisky


Although blended in Japan, Togouchui Premium Whisky is a blend of Scottish malt and Canadian grain. Aged in the town of Togouchi in a tunnel that was originally built for a railway but never used - intriguing!

TASTING NOTES Nose- It has a youthful aroma, but a slight peaty aroma can be noticed followed by sweet honey, nuts and corn flakes. Palate- It’s has a light and mild taste. A sweet aroma that reminds you of grains and honey gives you a mellow feeling. Finish- The slightly peaty aroma dominates the aftertaste.

(P) Togouchi Japanese Whisky 15 Years Old


The 15-year-old version of Togouchi's blended whisky. A combination of whiskies from Canada and Scotland, which are blended together and aged in a Japanese railway tunnel. Nutty, chocolatey and spicy.


Nose- Soft pastry dusted with cinnamon, pear and hints of dried earth.

Palate- Nutty malt complemented by milk chocolate, joined by a helping of caraway.

Finish- Peppercorn, vanilla and a lingering peatiness.


Akashi Red Oak

Akashi Red Blended Malt & Grain is a blended whisky reserved in Japanese Shochu cask (American Oak) for 3 years, aged in ex-bourbon casks before finishing in ex-sherry casks for 2 years. Akashi Red Oak Blended Whisky TASTING NOTES Nose- Herbs and pine. Hints of white grape, lemon, yellow apple and angelica fruits. Dry oak, with lavender and floral undertones Palate- Rich malt with vanilla and grapes. Pine, oak and floral notes accompany a slightly bitter citrus peel Finish- Oak and warming wood spices with a touch of vanilla

Akashi White Oak Blended Whisky


A Japanese blended whisky that has been the subject of some controversy. The bottling for the home market in Japan is made with malt whisky and molasses spirit, which would not be classed as 'whisky' in the EU. This export version, however, is made from malt and grain whiskies.

TASTING NOTES Nose- Amber gold Palate- Toffee, Vanilla, Cinnamon Finish- Caramel, Tobacco, Chocolate, Balanced and creamy

Akashi White Oak Single Malt Whisky

Single malt Japanese whisky from the Akashi range, produced by White Oak in Hyogo, just west of Kobe. This non-age-statement release ought to prove rather interesting for whisky adventurers looking to try something new. TASTING NOTES
Nose- The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt, spice, iodine, and apricot.
Palate- The palate is light and soft with hints of red apples, toffee, and local herbs.
Finish- Gentle fade of clove and fresh-cut wood.

Amrut Fusion Single Malt


Amrut Fusion gets its name from the fact that it uses two barleys: Indian and Scottish - with the latter being peated for good measure. Fusion has been picking up awards ever since it first appeared in 2009, and in 2012 was named the best whisky for a Rob Roy in the Ultimate Cocktail Challenge in New York.

TASTING NOTES Aroma- Rich, barley, fruity. Big on citrus, spices, creamy sweetness. A hint of peat. Palate- Oaky, rich, gentle peat, coffee, dark chocolate. Fruity. Finish- Long, spiced, marmalade, sweetness. GoldGold

Amrut Indian Single Malt


Amrut's flagship Indian single malt, showing their signature character of spice, fruit and honey. Bottled at 46%, it has the depth of flavour needed to properly showcase the distillery.

TASTING NOTES Palate- Intense barley and grain, nutty, citrus, apricot. Finish- Apples, apricot, greengages, malt, fruit. Gold
