Description

Kiichiro Iwa, the namesake for this Mars whisky was a silent pioneer of Japan whisky. This whisky is inspired by the great whiskies of America. A majority of corn balanced with light malt aged in ex-bourbon barrels. Ideal for daily sipping, in a mint julep or an old fashioned.

Shinshu Mars Distillery has the highest altitude of all the distilleries in Japan. Situated in Nagano (the Japanese Alps, where the newest season of Terrace Houseis filmed) at an elevation of over 2600 feet, the temperature drops to 5°F. With fresh, ample snowfall, Shinshu Mars Distillery is situated in an idealplace for whisky production.
