Rich, fresh flavour expresses the intensity of the 2013 vintage in the Barossa. Elegant fine tannins are felt across the palate and the subtle oak influence yields cedar and soft charry notes on the finish. This wine is beautifully balanced, with excellent structure and length typifying the St Hugo Heritage of power and elegance.
Their Reserve Chardonnay is a fruit-driven and zesty offering that has a medium lemony hue. Attractive aromas of fresh apples, citrus, vanilla and butter circle the nose while the dry, medium - bodied palate overflows with flavours of melon, oak spice and pear balanced by subtle oak notes. The wine ends in a crisp medium finish.
This wine is in the colour of dark ruby red, with aroma of dark plums, cassis and black olives with underlying cedar-oak spice. It is a full-bodied wine showing fresh blackberry and red fruits balanced by earthy notes and some savoury spice, supported by the fine structural tannins typical of cabernet sauvignon from Coonawarra.
The result is aromatic, well balanced dry wine with vibrant fruit flavours. It's the perfect wine to go with chicken, salmon, lamb and soft cheeses, or simply enjoy it as it is!
