A blend of around forty different eaux-de-vie. The Cognac grading system was actually created by Maurice Hennessy in 1865. This VS (very special) cognac is the quintessential Cognac.

Colour: Golden amber with copper highlights.
Aroma: Exceptionally fresh and lively. Sensual hints of apricot jam and vanilla which, after swirling, are enriched with notes of mandarin and pink grapefruit.
Taste: Chilled by ice, it feels sumptuously smooth and velvety, revealing notes of citrus peel, candied fruit and vanilla, which linger into the rounded, well-balanced finish.

‘Red’ is a reference to the reddish colour of aged oak.

The Prince of Wales, the future King George IV of Great Britain was a cognac connoisseur. He requested the Hennessy VSOP or Very Special Old Pale from the House of Hennessy, which eventually became a benchmark for all cognac producers and is one of the best cognacs in the world.
Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège TASTING NOTES Rich, full-bodied and complex, XO combines the spicy aromas of oak and leather with the sweeter essences of flowers and ripe fruit. Well-balanced, the initial flourish is dominated by the powerful suggestion of pepper and rancid, which testify to the long years it has spent being aged.

Finish- Rounding off with delicate notes of sweet spices, cinnamon and pepper from the oak.
