MORTLACH 12 Year Old The Wee Witchie TASTING NOTES Colour- Dandelion. This wonderful colour comes from the unique distillation process called ‘2.81 distillation’. Nose- Damson, toasted almond, cinder toffee and heavy barley. Palate- Warming oak and soft raisins, with a bit of olive oil salinity mixed in. Finish- A bit jammy, a bit nutty, some lingering citrus oils cutting through.

Glenmorangie's Nectar d'Or is finished in Sauternes casks. This is sweet and spicy with notes of ginger, nutmeg lemon meringue and honeycomb.

TASTING NOTES Nose- Sweet citrus notes, with lemon curd and vanilla shortbread, followed by oak spice and gingerbread. Dried fruit follows with a drizzle of runny honey. Palate- Silky and syrupy, with syrup sponge and vanilla custard, buttery baklava and toasted brown sugar. Finish- Dry oak alongside lemon shortbread and gingersnap biscuits.

In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour. Ardbeg 10 Years Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky that is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex single malt. Named World Whisky of the Year in 2008.

TASTING NOTES Eye: Light Gold. The natural light gold colour is due to the non-chill filtration that Ardbeg distillery uses to create this single malt. Nose: A burst of intense smoky fruity peat infused with zesty lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. A 15 year old matured in American bourbon, Portuguese sherry and virgin oak. The whisky was then married in a Solera vat. This is a great staple 15 year old from the Glenfiddich distillery.
