Mas La Chevaliere Cabernet Sauvignon
TASTING NOTES
The wines from Mas La Chevaliere express a pureness. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon is smooth and easy to drink, full bodied with medium acidity and medium to high tannins. The flavor profile leads with fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry jam, plum, black cherry) followed by earth, leather, slate, nutmeg, black tea, and oak notes. The finish is long and lingering. Barbequed beef ribs would do well with this wine.
Mas La Chevaliere IGP Rose
Produced mostly from the organic Roqua Blanca site on schistous soils ideal for this Syrah-Grenache blend. The high altitude here maintains the aromatics and freshness, supported by whole-bunch pressing to make a delicate style of rosé.
TASTING NOTES This rosé is delicate yet bright in colour. Ripe redcurrant and strawberry aromas on the nose. Delicate fruitiness on the palate, combined with a lively acidity and a juicy, refreshing finish.
